Catch It Falling Stick Game Hire – Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Catch It Falling Stick Game?
Our Catch It Falling Stick Game is a fast-paced reaction challenge designed to test players' speed, concentration and hand-eye coordination.
Players stand underneath a series of suspended sticks and must react quickly when one randomly drops, attempting to catch it before it reaches the floor.
How do you play Catch It?
The player stands in the centre of the game with the sticks positioned around them.
Once the challenge begins, the sticks are released randomly. Players must watch carefully, react to each falling stick and catch as many as possible before they hit the ground.
Do you know which stick will fall next?
No. The sticks are released randomly, so players don't know which one will drop next.
This makes the game a genuine test of reactions and concentration rather than simply remembering a sequence.
What skills does Catch It test?
Catch It primarily tests reaction speed, hand-eye coordination, concentration and peripheral awareness.
Players need to watch the entire playing area and react immediately when they see a stick begin to fall.
How many people can play at once?
Catch It is a single-player challenge, with guests taking turns to see how many falling sticks they can successfully catch.
Its quick gameplay makes it ideal for competitive events where lots of guests want to participate.
Does the game keep score?
The player's performance can be recorded based on the number of sticks successfully caught during their challenge.
Scores can then be used to create a highest-score competition throughout your event.
Can we run a Catch It competition?
Absolutely. Catch It is perfect for reaction competitions and challenges.
Guests can take turns attempting to catch the highest number of sticks, with their results recorded throughout the event and an overall winner announced at the end.
Can you provide a leaderboard?
Yes. A magnetic leaderboard can be added alongside the game to display the best results throughout your event.
This gives guests a target to beat and can encourage repeat participation.
Can Catch It be branded?
Yes. Catch It offers fantastic opportunities for custom corporate and event branding.
The game can be transformed with your company logo, brand colours, campaign artwork, products or promotional messaging to create a highly visible branded attraction.
All physical branding is professionally printed and applied in-house by JM Entertainment.
Can the individual falling sticks be branded?
Depending on your chosen branding package, custom graphics can be incorporated into different areas of the game to help carry your branding throughout the experience.
Please see our Branding Options section for the available branding areas.
Can you create bespoke artwork for our campaign?
Yes. We can create bespoke artwork around your company, product, campaign or event theme.
Alternatively, we can provide artwork specifications for your own marketing team, designer or event agency.
Can Catch It be used for a branded challenge?
Yes. The simple gameplay makes Catch It particularly effective for branded competitions.
For example, guests could be challenged to catch a certain number of sticks to win a prize, or you could run a highest-score competition throughout the event.
Is Catch It suitable for exhibitions?
Yes. Catch It is an excellent choice for exhibitions and trade shows because the challenge is quick to understand, visually engaging and doesn't require guests to learn complicated rules.
Its reaction-based gameplay can help attract attention to your exhibition stand and encourage visitors to stop and participate.
Is Catch It suitable for brand activations?
Absolutely. Catch It combines physical gameplay, reaction speed, competition and custom branding, making it particularly well suited to experiential marketing and brand activations.
Combine the game with custom branding, a leaderboard and promotional prizes to create a complete branded challenge.
Is Catch It suitable for sporting events?
Yes. Because Catch It tests reaction speed and coordination, it works particularly well for sporting events, fan zones and sports-themed activations.
It can also be combined with Batak Pro, Batak Lite and other reaction games to create a larger reaction-testing zone.
Do players need any previous experience?
No. Catch It is extremely easy to understand and requires no previous experience.
Simply watch the sticks and try to catch them when they fall.
How long does each game take?
Catch It is designed to provide a short, fast-paced challenge, making it suitable for exhibitions and high-footfall events.
The exact duration will depend on the game settings being used for your event.
How many people can play per hour?
Guest throughput depends on the selected game format and how your competition is being managed.
Because each attempt is relatively short, Catch It can provide good guest throughput at busy corporate events and exhibitions.
Can we give prizes to players?
Yes. Clients are welcome to provide their own prizes, branded merchandise or promotional giveaways.
Prizes could be awarded to anyone who reaches a target score, catches a certain number of sticks or finishes at the top of the leaderboard.
Does Catch It require power?
Yes. Catch It requires access to a suitable standard UK 13-amp power supply.
Please see the Technical Information section for the exact power requirements and recommended setup information.
How much space does Catch It require?
The game requires sufficient space for the equipment itself and a clear playing area around the participant so they can safely move and react to the falling sticks.
Full dimensions and recommended operating space can be found within the Technical Information section.
Does Catch It need to be staffed?
Depending on the event, Catch It can be managed by your own event team or brand ambassadors.
Alternatively, JM Entertainment event staff can be provided to explain the challenge, manage players, record scores and oversee competitions.
Can Catch It be used outdoors?
Catch It is primarily designed for indoor use or suitable covered event environments.
If you're planning an outdoor event, please speak to our team beforehand so we can check the proposed setup, weather protection, surface and power arrangements.
What events is Catch It suitable for?
Catch It is ideal for exhibitions, trade shows, corporate events, conferences, brand activations, product launches, sporting events, fan zones, team-building events, university events and promotional campaigns.
Can I hire Catch It with other reaction games?
